Level B: Replace in 2016-2017
All computer equipment with an IT ID support tag number starting with "13".
Level C: Replace in 2015-2016
All computer equipment with an IT ID support tag number starting with "12".
Level D: Replace in 2014-2015
All computer equipment with an IT ID support tag number starting with "11".
Categories 2 - 6 Computers
All Level E's computers should be requested for replacement by the department. This level should not include any Category 1 computers.
Non-supported - All non-supported computers and printers should be requested for replacement by the department.
Printers have a five-year replacement cycle. This includes all printers with support tag starting with 10 or lower.
Hardware Services Guidelines:
All Baylor standards that are recommended by the Baylor Technology Procurement office will be provided full support from ITS repair shop. Spare parts and employee certifications for these products are maintained by ITS. The list of standard equipment is reviewed and updated as needed throughout the fiscal year.
If your department decides to purchase a non-standard hardware item, a support and security review through ITS will be required. The form can be found on the ITS website under the Help tab. If approved, the department will need to purchase 3 years of warranty service from the vendor for the non-standard product selected. Your department will also be required to contact the vendor directly to schedule any maintenance or repair services.
