When?

Your BearID password is good for 180 days (approximately six months). The 180-day count begins on the day you reset or change your password. You may change your password at any time -- you do not have to wait for a reminder or until your password quits working.

When you want to change your password, go to the password change page. Log in using your BearID and password, and follow the prompts.

If your password has stopped working, go to the password reset page. After verifying your identity, you will be instructed to answer the security questions that you chose when you originally set your BearID password. Once the correct answers are verified, you will be instructed to set a new password.

ITS will automatically send you an e-mail reminder two weeks before your password is set to expire. To see the text of the e-mail, click here.

Restart your computer after you have changed your password. Faculty and staff must restart their computers to synchronize all Baylor systems that use the BearID and password for access to the new password. If you do not restart, email, printing and others systems will not function properly.
