James Van Cleve is Professor of Philosophy at Brown University and Visiting Professor of Philosophy at the University of Southern California. His primary research interests include epistemology, metaphysics, the history of modern philosophy, and Kant. He is currently working on a number of projects on the philosophy of Thomas Reid.
