Why I Came To Baylor:
"I came to Baylor for two reasons: (1) I was honored to be invited back to my beloved alma mater to teach and conduct research; and (2) The retirement of the venerable, legendary Professor Guy B. Harrison had resulted in an opening to teach Texas history at Baylor and I quickly dropped my pursuits of openings at other universities."
On My Research Interests:
"My research interests are: Texas and the Southwest,
Texas and the South, The American West, Regional topics between Texas and St. Louis, Missouri, oral history, and public history."
