Welcome to Baylor!
We are pleased to welcome all our incoming graduate students. An orientation is planned for all new graduate students on Wednesday, August 21, 2013. The orientation will be from 9:00am to 1:15pm at the Hooper-Schaefer Fine Arts Center and Moody Library. Please plan to attend.
The graduate student orientation is a joint effort by the Baylor University Graduate School and the Graduate Student Association (GSA) designed to get you off to a good start in your new graduate school experience. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the office of the Assistant Dean for Graduate Studies (254)710-4487.
New students should have received information regarding the Orientation with their acceptance letter, and further information will be sent to your Baylor e-mail account.Activate your Bear ID to Confirm Attendance You will need to have activated your Bear ID (First Name_Last Name) in order to confirm your attendance at orientation. Graduate Student Handbook
In a joint initiative between the Graduate School and the Graduate Student Association the first edition of the Graduate Student Handbook is now available. This handbook provides much valuable information about navigating Baylor, living in Waco, and Graduate Student Life generally. Download your copy of the 2012-13 Graduate Student Handbook.
A Sneak Peak
Graduate students in Baylor’s Theatre Arts Department wrote iGrad as a humorous portrayal of the very real dilemmas and anxieties of new graduate students. Using improvisational techniques, this 40 minute theatrical production is based on research conducted by the actors and writers exploring real experiences reported by Baylor graduate students. iGrad recognizes the diverse issues and concerns of students coming from many different life stages and experiences. iGrad has become an integral part of our New Graduate Student Orientation.
