Applied Petroleum Studies



Under the supervision of Dr. Stacy Atchley, the Department of Geology at Baylor engages in collaborative applied research with various corporate sporsors. The APS program is designed to provide the corporate sponsor with cost-effective geological expertise, and both Baylor students and faculty with real-world industrial experience. Each project is typically completed by Dr. Atchley and 1-2 student assistants during the summer months. Student participants receive either course or thesis credit. A list of projects completed within the past 6 years is provided below, along with links to peer-reviewed publications that were derived from several of the studies.
