Do you want hands-on experience with advanced chemical instrumentation? Consider attending the Fifth Annual

Advanced Instrumentation Workshop
at Baylor University

Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry
Friday & Saturday, Dates TBA, Fall 2010

Featuring 'hands-on' experiences with:

•500MHz NMR (NSF #CHE-0420802)

•Single Crystal X-Ray Diffraction (NSF #CHE-0321214)

•Liquid Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry

•Supercomputer Cluster/Molecular modeling

•Biochemical Chromatography/Confocal Microscopy

•Laser Spectroscopy

•Near-IR Spectroscopy/Chemometrics

The workshop is designed for Senior chemistry/biochemistry majors and their advisors, though exceptional Juniors will be considered. The training will consist primarily of three 3-hour small group hands-on intensive sessions (see tentative schedule). Overnight accommodations and meals will be provided. An application form is available online. All applications should be received by September 15th.
