Applying

What are the requirements to be admitted into Brooks College?
To be a student at Baylor University and to be able to articulate why the idea of living in Brooks College is compelling to them rather than living in a traditional residence hall.

When is my application considered complete?

Can a student who is in the Honors College live in Brooks College?
Brooks Residential College is not formally connected to the Honors College or the Honors College Living & Learning Center. Just as a student in the Honors College can choose to live in Collins or Martin rather than the LLC, he or she can live in Brooks College.

If I am planning on studying abroad in the Fall of 2012 or the Spring of 2013, can I still apply to live in Brooks College?
If you are studying abroad in the Spring of 2012, you should go ahead and apply to live in Brooks College. We cannot guarantee a specific room within Brooks College for the Spring 2013, therefore you should wait until October of 2012 to apply for the Spring of 2013.

Who must sign a two-year commitment to live in Brooks College?
Only incoming freshman will be required to sign a commitment to live on campus for two years.

If I filled out my application online and hit the submit button and was returned to the log-in screen, was my application accepted?
No, if you were returned to the log-in screen your application was not received. The application form will "time out" after an hour and all data will be lost. To avoid risking the loss of your data, consider composing your personal essay and other application responses in a Word document, and then cutting and pasting them into the online application form.

Your website states that I must submit a standard Baylor housing application, in addition to the application for Brooks College. Should I fill out the Baylor application as normal, including my first 5 choices for other residence halls?
Yes, the student must fill out the online housing application as if he or she will not get into Brooks College. Then, upon acceptance, we will take the student and place him or her into Brooks College.

Can I apply to another Living-Learning Center and Brooks College?
