The HIDPL and the SSL are co-located in a separate stand alone building on the campus of Texas State Technical College/Waco. The HIDPL/SSL building is now on line after undergoing a complete renovation to satisfy lab power, filtering, cooling, humidity and security requirements in 2001. During the spring of 2001, the first GEC RF Reference Cell was installed within the lab. A second GEC RF reference cell was brought on-line at the end of 2004. One of these cells is equipped with a Zyvex S100 nanomanipulator system giving it outstanding characterization and manipulation capability. Various laser diagnostic and perturnation systems are also available.

The lab also includes a laser bay as well as several microparticle accelerators. Currently operational is the ruby laser and the 130 mJ ps Nd:Yag laser lab, the accelerator (light gas and electrostatic) lab and the diagnostics/sensor development lab.

A listing of the HIDPL Facilities can be found at the specified link. HIDPL facilities are available for either contract work or for use in collaborative efforts leading to joint publications. Research contracts are generally conducted by members of the HIDPL who carry out the work, analyze the data and then submit a report to the contracting agency. Under special circumstances, contract work can also be conducted by the contractor with technical and/or manufacturing assistance provided by members of the HIDPL/SSL. (In this case, all responsibility for data analysis rests with the contracting agency.)

Specific information (along with detailed price quotes) for using any of the following can be obtained by contacting Dr. Truell W. Hyde.
