Virginia Pascual, M.D.

Dr. Virginia Pascual received her M.D. in 1981 from Facultad de Medicina, Universidad Complutense in Madrid, Spain. Dr. Pascual joined the faculty at Baylor Institute for Immunology Research in 1999 as an Investigator. She received an appointment as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Biomedical Studies to Baylor, Waco in August, 2005. In her clinical practice, she specializes in Pediatric Rheumatology and is concerned with autoimmune diseases in children. In 1995, she was awarded the Senior Rheumatology Scholar Award from the American College of Rheumatology. Dr. Pascual's research interests focus on breakdowns of the immune system that lead to autoimmune conditions, such as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis and systemic onset juvenile idiopathic arthritis.
