Robert P. Adams, Ph.D.
Dr. Robert Adams is research
professor of biology and is the
director of DNA Bank-Net. He
received his Ph.D. from the
University of Texas at Austin
in 1969. From 1969 to 1977
he served on the faculty of
Colorado State University,
then served as professor
of research at the Science
Research Center at Hardin-
Simmons University before
coming to Baylor in 1987. Dr.
Adams is the author of approximately
175 journal articles and
six books, recipient of 25 major
research grants and has presented
20 invited symposium papers. His
research interests include DNA fingerprinting,
sequencing and the preservation
of tropical plant genes by in vitro DNA storage.
