Flight Medical Requirements
Students in the BSAS Professional Pilot program must obtain an FAA medical certificate. Because human physiology plays a tremendous role in aviation, the requirement to remain physically qualified for flight begins as a student and carries throughout your entire career. Although a second class medical certificate is all that is required for initial flight training, students who intend to pursue a career which involves airline, corporate or military flying would be well advised to obtain an initial first class medical certificate.
