What it's all about

Statistics is the scientific application of mathematical principles to the collection, analysis, presentation and interpretation of data. The degree programs are designed to provide a balance between statistical theory and applications of statistical methods with an emphasis being placed on acquiring research, consulting and teaching skills.

Statistics can often be a foundation for several different careers including science, economics, health care, engineering, marketing and sports.
