Applied Mathematics

This major focuses on applying math to real-life situations. Over your coursework, you'll discover ways to use mathematical concepts for problem-solving and decision-making in a variety of environments. From oil companies and insurance firms to government and environmental agencies, you'll see how a few essential techniques can be used across many different scenarios. Several years ago the television network A&E presented a ranking of the most influential individuals of the last millennium.
