Associate or Full Professor, August 2010.
Salary and benefits competitive. Applicants may specialize in studio art or art history, should have an excellent record of scholarly achievement and administrative experience. Additional experience obtaining external funding is a plus. The successful applicant will be a nationally-recognized artist/scholar and committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching. M.F.A. or Ph.D. required. Administrative experience in undergraduate art/art history department at a college/university. Responsibilities include administration and teaching course in area of expertise. Administrative duties include an undergraduate program of twenty full-time faculty and interfacing with the Martin Museum of Art and Allbritton Art Institute. Record of professional achievement and ongoing professional/creative research expected. Commitment to drawing evidenced in professional work. Applicant must demonstrate strong teaching skills and commitment to entry-level studio course curriculum.
